In this privacy notice ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ refers to Thyme Keepers Limited and ‘you’ and ‘your’ means the person the personal information refers to.  Thyme Keepers Limited will only use your freely given personal information for the processing of your order placed on the website www.thymekeepers.co.uk .  Our lawful basis for processing your personal information is obtained when you agree to give us your consent to use your personal information.  We will not contact you for any reason other then that which is related to your order or in answering any queries or questions.  No information entered on the website www.thymekeepers.co.uk has been, is or will ever be passed on to any third parties.

How Long We Keep Your Details For

Your personal details include details of your order are retained on our website administration database for a period of up to one year.  A physical paper copy of an invoice we send to you (accompanying any item you have ordered) are retained for a period of 6 years in accordance with uk accountancy policy.  After this time, they are destroyed. Emails in connection with orders or those from the contact us page may be held for up to 6 weeks after which they are deleted.

How We Use Cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on a computer hard drive be it a desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile phone.  Cookies aloe web applications to respond to you as an individual.  The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.  Primarily we use cookies to temporarily hold any additions you have made to the shopping cart.  The cookie is then removed once you have “checked out” and made payment.  This cookie can easily be deleted by clearing your browser history which includes cookies within that process.

Thyme Keepers Limited is based in England and is governed by English law.  Any dispute shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law.  Where upon the English courts shall have jurisdiction over all disputes.  This website www.thymekeepers.co.uk, any content contained here in and any contract brought into being as a result of usage of this website (i.e. your purchase and our delivery) are governed by and construed in accordance with English law.  The parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.  All contract are concluded in English.

SSL, Secure Socket Layer, is a small file that digitally binds a cryptographic key to the website and makes all content secure between servers.  This can be seen in a browser address bar as https:// and shows a “padlock” symbol in the web browser.  Thyme Keepers Limited holds a current SSL certificate which can be viewed by clicking on the https:// or the padlock symbol next to our website URL, Uniform Resource Locator.

Security

In addition to the SSL certificate we have a number of security measures in place including firewalls, anti – virus and anti-malware. Regular back-ups are taken and stored on separate devices.

Telephone orders and payments

Orders taken over the telephone will be entered on to the website and the personal information treated as outlined above. Payment details given over the telephone for orders will be processed via PayPal or Stripe and destroyed immediately afterwards.
